Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of Finpecia and you are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Store at room temperature. Keep away from sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Warnings and Precautions when using Finpecia Tablets
Before taking Finpecia, tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to this medication, or to a similar medicine called dutasteride (Avodart). Finpecia should never be taken by a woman or a child. Finpecia can be absorbed through the skin, and women or children should not be permitted to handle Finpecia tablets. Although Finpecia is not for use by women, this medication can cause birth defects if a woman is exposed to it during pregnancy. Finpecia tablets should not be handled by a woman who is pregnant or who may become pregnant. If a woman accidentally comes into contact with this medication from a broken or crushed tablet, wash the area with soap and water right away. Call your doctor at once if you notice any breast lumps, pain, nipple discharge, or other breast changes. These may be signs of male breast cancer.

There may be other drugs that can interact with Finpecia. Tell your doctor about all your prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors. Do not start a new medication without telling your doctor.
Side Effects of Finpecia Pills
Finpecia is generally well tolerated and side effects caused by it have usually been mild and transient. Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Call your doctor at once if you notice any breast lumps, pain, nipple discharge, or other breast changes. These may be signs of male breast cancer. Less serious side effects may include:
feeling like you might pass out
swelling in your hands or feet
pain in the testicles
impotence (erectile dysfunction), loss of interest in sex, or trouble having an orgasm ejaculation disorders (primarily, decreased volume of ejaculate)
swelling or tenderness in your breasts
dizziness, weakness
headache

Finpecia Tablets

Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient in Finpecia Tablets The active pharmaceutical ingredient present in Finpecia Tablets is Finasteride.
Uses of Finpecia Tablets:
Finpecia (Finasteride) is used to treat male pattern hair loss. Safety and efficacy have been successfully demonstrated in men between the ages of 18 to 41 years with mild to moderate hair loss. This medication is also used to treat symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate.

Finpecia Tablets – Dosage
Take one tablet of Finpecia 1 mg orally once a day, or as directed by your doctor. This medicine may be taken with or without meals.
For maximum benefit, take Finpecia pills regularly once a day. Finpecia usually must be taken regularly for 3 months for the benefits to be noticeable. Once treatment is discontinued within this duration, any gain in hair quantity will be lost within 12 months.
Drug Class and Mechanism
Finpecia prevents the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body. DHT is involved in the development of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and hair loss. This medication is used to treat symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate.

Finpecia Tablets

Finpecia is a product for men that can prevent further hairloss and increase hair growth. The active ingredient Finasteride, blocks the formation of DHT (one of the male hormones that causes hairloss), and gives the hair follicles a chance to recover and grow.

Dosage and administration
Take one tablet daily, with or without meals.

Side effects
In general use, the following have been reported infrequently: allergic reactions including rash, itching, hives and swelling of the lips and face, problems with ejaculation, breast tenderness and enlargement, and testicular pain. A small number of men experienced certain sexual side effects. These men reported one or more of the following: less desire for sex; difficulty in achieving an erection; and, a decrease in the amount of semen. Each of these side effects occurred in less than 2% of men.

Precautions
Results vary from person to person. Finpecia lowers readings of the PSA screening test for prostate cancer. If you're scheduled to have your PSA level checked, make sure the physician knows you're taking Finpecia. It may take several months for the Finpecia to work. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your physician. Stopping this medicine will result in a return within 12 months to the same amount of baldness as when you started. Women who are or may potentially be pregnant must not use Finpecia and should not handle crushed or broken tablets of Finpecia. If a woman who is pregnant with a male baby absorbs the active ingredient in Finpecia, either by swallowing or through the skin, it may cause abnormalities of a male babys sex organs.

Further information
Finpecia is made in India. Even though it contains the exact same chemical as Propecia (1mg of finasteride), its cost is significantly less than that of Propecia.
